HAVNA SAUNA
Treat yourself to a visit to our floating Sauna located in our harbour. Enjoy lovely 90min with a pre-heated sauna and refresh yourself with a sea bath straight from the deck.
Booking
- The Floating Sauna is open to everyone; you do not need to be a guest of the hotel or marina to make a reservation.
- The raft can be booked daily between 9 AM - 9 PM, all year round.
- Each booking is for 90 minutes; the duration cannot be altered. If you would like a longer session, look for available time slots that can be booked consecutively.
- You and your party have exclusive use of the sauna and bathing platform during your reserved 90-minute slot.
- Reservations can only be made via the Havna Hotel & Sjøbad website.
- Booking online secures your reservation completely. However, if you have further questions, you can call the hotel reception.
- Upon arrival at the hotel, collect the physical key to the sauna from the hotel reception. The key must be returned to the reception before your booking time expires.
- There is a 24-hour free cancellation policy window. Failure to show up or cancelling within less than 24 hours' notice will result in a charge of the full amount.
Capacity
- The sauna raft accommodates up to 12 people at a time—this applies to the total number of people inside and outside at once.
What Should You Bring?
- Bring your own towel and a pre-filled bottle of water.
- There is a mandatory use of swimwear both inside and outside the sauna.
- In winter, we recommend bringing a wooly hat suitable for swimming. Body temperature can drop significantly without protection for your head and ears.
Good To Know
- You can pour water over the sauna heater if you want more steam and humidity in the sauna. Do not pour saltwater over the heater—it may rust or break; use the fresh water provided in the dedicated bucket. If damage is discovered to the heater post booking, you may be charged a repair fee.
- Toilet and shower facilities located at our campsite are free to use until September 15th. From September 15th to April 15th, you are welcome to use the restroom in the hotel lobby.
- We monitor the water temperature year-round. Check Yr.no for current swimming temperatures in Vestfold.
Etiquette
- Respect those who come after you; clean up after yourself and return the key to the hotel reception before your booking time expires. If trash is left behind, a fine of NOK 3,000 will be charged.
- Please leave the door between the sauna room and the changing room open upon leaving the sauna at the end of your booking.
- No food or alcohol is permitted on the sauna raft, neither inside nor outside.
- Visitors are liable for any damage caused to the Floating Sauna.
- Smoking and the use of snus are prohibited. Fines may be charged if damage occurs.
- Pets are not allowed on the Floating Sauna
Safety
- The Floating Sauna is to be used at your own risk.
- There is no lifeguard on duty at the Floating Sauna. If you plan to go ice bathing in winter, you must always bring a friend who can keep an eye on you from land.
- Be mindful of boat traffic in the harbor. Stay close to the Floatins Sauna while swimming.
- If you are pregnant, you should only use the sauna with your doctor's approval.
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. We recommend bringing a life jacket for small children when swimming.
- A fire extinguisher is located by the sauna entrance.
- A lifebuoy hangs on the wall in the covered outdoor area.
- Please notify hotel staff of any incidents or observations that should be logged.
- We reserve the right to terminate or cancel a booking without a refund if rules are violated before or during your time on the sauna raft.
